All CE-marked THV devices use ClinFlows decidemedical online platform
ClinFlows, the leading provider of configurable e-solutions for clinical workflows, has signed contracts with all companies selling CE marked THV (Transcatheter Heart Valve) devices in Europe.
THV device manufacturers are involved in projects using ClinFlows´ decidemedical online platform to support clinical proctoring activities. The new, minimally invasive, treatment of aortic valve stenosis, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) marks a new era in cardiac surgery. A key factor for success in the management of these complex interventions is patient selection.
The decidemedical platform helps to reduce costs by increasing the efficiency of proctoring activities and patient screening.
Participating hospitals upload clinical data and medical images online, allowing proctors and specialists to review patient data, check patient eligibility remotely for the TAVI procedure and to communicate with the sites instantly. “We have reduced our turn around time dramatically and eliminated the need to send, copy and chase DVDs and our physicians at the hospitals just love it,” says a key project manager responsible for training and education at a leading Global TAVI medical devices company. She added, “If necessary, patients can even be treated the next day after data upload; and data can be accessed from anywhere in the world as the system is fully web based.”
“Clinical experts and proctors travel to support sites during operations without having seen the patients’ data and images to check eligibility upfront. All CE-marked TAVI device companies are now using our decidemedical online services, allowing easy preview of patient data, this illustrates that our system is exceptionally practical and safe in the daily clinical routine. Extremely positive feedback and the continued increase in the number of submitted cases via our platform has confirmed the strength of our concept”, says Uwe Gladbach, Managing Director of ClinFlows.
ClinFlows is focused on the management, development and maintenance of Software as a Service (SaaS) based clinical workflow management solutions for clinical workflows, supporting clinical trials, product launch activities, medical case reviews by experts and physician online training scenarios.
The decidemedical platform enables all stakeholders of clinical workflows to share cases quickly, easily and securely. ClinFlows simplifies the process of transferring large amount of data between hospitals, institutes and specialist around the world, and facilitates collaboration on clinical cases through specific discussion tools around medical images and clinical data. ClinFlows customer base spans pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies, academic institutions, CROs and other research organizations, and includes global healthcare companies.
