AMSTERDAM, May 31, 2011 -

Leading events organiser UBM Live, a division of UBM Plc (LSE: UBM),
announced details of a new Logistics and Supply Chain Zone to be introduced
at ICSE 2011, an event dedicated to pharmaceutical contract services and
outsourcing. ICSE will take place from October 25-27, 2011 at the Messe
Frankfurt, Germany and is part of the world's leading platform of
pharmaceutical events, including CPhI Worldwide for pharmaceutical
ingredients, P-MEC Europe for pharmaceutical machinery and equipment and
InnoPack for pharmaceutical packaging solutions.

Introduced in response to attendee audits conducted at previous events,
the new zone will cover logistics, cold transport and supply chain solutions
for the pharmaceutical industry. The 2010 events audit showed a total of
1,159 attendees with a specific interest in the logistics and supply chain
sector. Of these visitors, 577 attended for logistics resources, 220 for
supply chain resources and 362 indicated that their primary interest was
pharmaceutical specific logistic and supply chain resources(1). The zone will
not only provide a meeting place for the industry, with the combined events
attracting over 28,000 attendees annually, but will also address concerns
that are at the forefront in the pharma industry such as safe global
transportation solutions for ingredients.

"Beyond being complementary to the focuses of the ICSE event, the new
Logistics and Supply Chain Zone also has great synergy with Innopack which
features RFID, Track and Trace, anti counterfeiting and general packaging
solutions and P-MEC, which will host companies that have transportation
requirements for pharma machinery and equipment," noted Haf Cennydd, Global
Brand Director ISCE, P-MEC, and InnoPack. She added, "Moreover, CPhI
exhibitors include many large multinationals with requirements for global
supply chain logistic solutions which also makes them attractive potential
customers for logistics and supply chain companies."

In 2011, ICSE will be partnered with BioPh, which showcases the biopharma
sector, and will offer new zoning to facilitate face-to-face interaction
between buyers and sellers of contract services and outsourcing solutions for
the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical markets. The event, now in its
eleventh year, hosts contract research organizations (CRO) and contract
manufacturing organizations (CMO) from all over the world and offers a
current view of industry trends in a rapidly expanding global market. Last
year, ICSE saw a 24% increase from 2009 exhibitor numbers and due to this
exceptional growth ICSE will be located in two halls for 2011.

"The pharmaceutical industry has seen a lot of change in the past five
years. As we move forward and the market stabilizes, an increasing focus is
being placed on the quality and ability to validate raw materials that are
purchased globally(2)," Haf Cennydd said. "In addition to these
considerations, companies have to examine shipping options that are not only
temperature controlled and protect the integrity of the ingredients, but are
also reliable and time sensitive. The Logistics and Supply Chain Zone offers
visitors a dedicated zone for these resources which are an increasingly
important within the (bio) pharmaceutical sector."

The annual schedule of global ICSE events also includes ICSE Japan (13-15
July, 2011
, Osaka, Japan), ICSE South America (24-26 August, 2011, Sao Paolo,
Brazil) and ICSE India (30 November - 2 December, 2011, Mumbai, India).
