A new Herbalife Survey Reveals Britons are Finding it Hard to Cover the Cost of Christmas

LONDON, December 16, 2010 - With the average family spending around GBP600 over Christmas,
a new international survey by Herbalife has revealed that only one third of
UK householders will have enough to fund their festive outgoings this year.
The remainder will have to resort to other means such as loans, credit cards
or an overdraft.

Instead of blowing the budget and beating the VAT rise, the
Herbalife survey finds that the majority of Britons are having to tighten
their belts, with 41% planning to cut back on their usual spending over the
holiday season. Some are even going as far as deferring mortgage payments to
cope. As few as 1 in 10 have tried to find ways to earn extra income.

many people around the UK this holiday period is proving to be very difficult
financially. Clearly people this year have started to change the way they
treat Christmas by spending less, but relatively few have considered changing
the way they actually earn their money instead. With so many months of
