Mazda Motors UK Guarantees Payment Accuracy with Merced Systems Sales Performance Management
By Merced Systems, PRNEWednesday, October 20, 2010
LONDON, October 21, 2010 - Merced 360 Degrees Performance Management Forum — Merced Systems, the
leader in Sales Performance Management and Service Performance Management
solutions, today announced that Mazda Motors UK has successfully completed
the deployment of Merced Incentive Compensation Management.
Mazda Motors UK has successfully implemented Merced Incentive
Compensation Management to automate every single payment related to vehicle
sales. Mazda depends on Merced's platform to pay its dealer network, drive
customer incentives and ensure consistent margins. The solution also allows
dealers to log directly into the application providing insight into sales
productively against targets, run reports on outstanding payments and view
historic payment enquiries.
As well as daily use against the sales budget, the solution is used
extensively to drive monthly accruals. Post rollout Mazda can now look after
multiple incentive plans and can easily create new plans as the business
dictates without heavy reliance on IT.
In today's highly competitive and fluid climate the Merced solution is
viewed as business critical in compensating the Mazda dealer network. If
dealer payments are delayed this could have a significant impact to the
dealers sustainability. With Merced, Mazda has an holistic view of their
business and can quickly agree on dealer discounts, ascertain dealer
performance and rely on the solution for all related reporting, such as
number of cars sold, vehicle model and remittance due.
As well as managing its dealer network, the Merced solution also manages
Mazda's fleet vehicles. Prior to Merced the process was lengthy and relied on
spreadsheets and written communications for all fleet car approvals. With
Merced this process is now automated, historic stages of approvals are saved
and Mazda has gained visibility into key performance indicators such as
profit per car.
"Mazda Motors relies on Merced Incentive Compensation Management for the
accuracy of payments to our dealer network and fleet vehicles. In the first
few months of deployment we have already paid out millions of pounds in
incentives," commented Ian Fraser, Mazda Finance Director. "The solution is
intuitive and versatile allowing us to quickly gain insight into incentive
payments and visibility of performance across our network. This allows us to
drive relevant dealer programmes and best serve our customers.
"Mazda is dedicated to providing its customers with innovative cars that
exceed expectations," said Brenda Morris, Vice President - EMEA of Merced
Systems. "Insight into the performance of their dealer and fleet network is
pivotal to the overall success of the business, allowing Mazda to make needed
real-time adjustments to help meet those expectations and drive behaviour
through consistency and empowerment. Mazda further expands Merced's dominance
within the retail motor industry and we are delighted to partner with Mazda
to successfully operate in this extremely competitive retail environment."
