NEU-ISENBURG, Germany, November 30, 2010 - A new 2.0" module has been just added by Seiko Instruments to enhance its
range of small sized a-Si TFT LCD modules, which is now covering from 2,0"
to 7,0". The new module is equipped with the patented Fringe Field Switching
(FFS) technology which provides an extremely wide viewing angle of 160
degrees in all directions at a high contrast ratio up to 800:1. It is
available in two different versions, to support either an RGB or a CPU
interface. The very thin LCD module measures 35.8mm x 54.12mm x 1.75mm and
has an active area of 30.6mm x 40.8mm to accommodate a QVGA matrix.
The display is equipped with a modern LED backlight, which obtains a
sunlight readable surface brightness of 350cd/m2. With its very compact
design and superior optical performance, this panel is a good alternative to
the AMOLED technology.
Due to the Seiko Instruments long-term product availability policy, these
modules are suitable for industrial applications.
