BRISTOL, England, November 2, 2011 -
Next Generation Manufacturing Europe, which took place from 4th - 6th October at the Golden Palm Tree Resort & Spa, Kuala Lumpur, provided leading executives with an ideal framework for new business relationships to flourish.
The summit saw senior level CIOs from across Asia meet to discuss objectives such as technology infrastructures, risk management, and innovation in a relaxed and vibrant environment. Speakers included leading industry professionals such as Delesh Kumar, Director ICT Analysis, Frost & Sullvan; Michael Barnes, VP Principal Analyst, Forrester Research; Clifford Rosenberg, MD Australia, LinkedIn; and many more. Leading businesses across Asia including HP, Huawei, and EMC2 sponsored the event.
CIOs had ample opportunity to network with peers. Diane Jurgens, VP & CIO of General Motors Company said, “The summit was great. This is my second year and the quality of the delegates, the suppliers who come, and the conversation is really great.”
As well as comprehensive workshops, the summit involved panel discussions offering executives moderated, peer-led discussions on major industry issues. One-to-one meetings gave delegates the chance to meet with business analysts and analyst partners to discuss strategy and technology demands in a rapidly evolving business climate.
A total of 16 workshops covered a range of exciting and pressing topics for SMBS and global giants alike. Topics included cloud computing, social media, data centres, talent management, ICT strategy, mobility, SAP, security, innovations in technology, and more.
Nick York, Event Director Asia at GDS International, the global business event company behind NG CIO Asia, says, “We have always been proud of the quality of our summits, but this years’ Next Generation CIO Asia Summit was one of our best yet. It is very rewarding to know that our events provide the environment for executives to meet and build valuable relationships that will lead to many exciting new ventures and innovations.”
