OI European Group B.V. Announces Proposed Private Offering of Euro 500 Million of Senior Notes

PERRYSBURG, Ohio and SCHIEDAM, Netherlands, September 6, 2010 - OI European Group B.V., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of
Owens-Illinois Group, Inc., announced that it intends to offer, subject to
market and other conditions, euro 500 million aggregate principal amount of
Senior Notes due 2020 (the "Notes") in a private offering.

OI European Group B.V. expects to use the net proceeds received from this
offering to repay borrowings under Owens-Illinois Group, Inc.'s revolving
credit facility and for general corporate purposes, including funding
Owens-Illinois Group, Inc.'s strategic priorities.

The Notes and the guarantees thereof have not been registered under the
Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the "Securities Act"), or applicable
state securities laws. Accordingly, the Notes will be offered only to
qualified institutional buyers and to persons outside the United States in
reliance on Rule 144A and Regulation S under the Securities Act,
