NEW YORK -
- Report notes that the Business Transaction Management vendor is ‘building on the company’s success in an increasing number of markets’
OpTier(R), the leader in Business Transaction Management(TM) (www.optier.com/) (BTM) for the enterprise, today announced it has been recognized by independent research firm Forrester Research, Inc. as a hot vendor in Business Service Management in the firm’s overview of BSM solutions report entitled “Who’s Hot in Business Service Management” published on June 11, 2009. This report is an update to the Forrester Wave(TM) on BSM originally published in March 2007, and OpTier is one of only seven technology vendors from that original report evaluated in the update.
The report cites that OpTier is the one vendor that is focused on a transaction management solution for BSM. The report goes on to note that, “OpTier is now broadening its traction and building on the company’s success in an increasing number of markets.”
“CoreFirst is currently being used by some of the world’s leading companies in finance, insurance, telecommunications, manufacturing and government,” said Israel Mazin, CEO of OpTier. “By enabling these organizations to manage IT from a business perspective, we provide them with a transparent view of transactions that is not available with other BSM offerings.”
In addition to this acknowledgment from the analyst community, during the first half of 2009 OpTier has been honored with four industry awards including the Red Herring 100 North America, SIIA Codie Awards Finalist, and the Hot Companies and Product Innovation awards from Network Products Guide.
OpTier’s CoreFirst for BTM enables organizations to manage IT from a business perspective using transactions. CoreFirst assures that business transactions flow smoothly within IT applications and infrastructure, without bottlenecks or outages, for improved end-user experience. BTM is ideally suited to managing performance and availability problems because it clearly identifies exactly where transactions are held up. But for IT, problem management is just the tip of the iceberg. BTM also enables proactive problem prevention as well as the generation of business service intelligence for optimization of resource provisioning and virtualization.
