MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS, BARCELONA, Spain – Feb. 14, 2011
Oracle announced general availability of the latest releases for the Oracle Communications Service Delivery (www.oracle.com/us/industries/communications/046858.html) product family, helping communications service providers (CSPs) implement Next-Generation Intelligent Network (NGIN) solutions for IN replacement and evolution, network-enabled application stores (NEAS) as well as IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and Long Term Evolution (LTE) network value added services.
The new releases include: Oracle Communications Services Gatekeeper 5.0 (www.oracle.com/us/industries/communications/046870.html) , Oracle Communications Service Broker 5.0 (www.oracle.com/us/industries/communications/communications-service-broker-071340.html) , Oracle Communications Converged Application Server 5.0 (www.oracle.com/us/industries/communications/046811.html) and Oracle Communications Presence 5.0 (www.oracle.com/us/industries/communications/oracle-communications-presence-176267.html) .
The latest Oracle Communications Service Delivery products help CSPs monetize innovative new services that leverage existing network assets, maximize profitability and accelerate time to market.
Oracle Communications Services Gatekeeper 5.0: The latest release of Oracle’s unified network enablement and service exposure platform helps CSPs support two-sided business models – generating revenue from consumers and third-party developers that securely access service providers' network assets to develop rich, innovative mobile applications.
Oracle Communications Service Broker 5.0: This release allows CSPs to reduce the cost of maintaining legacy IN components by migrating to a NGIN platform based on open, Java and IT industry-standard technologies.
Oracle Communications Converged Application Server 5.0: The latest release of Oracle’s converged application platform delivers capabilities that help CSPs maximize profitability from converged Web-telecommunications services delivered over IP-based networks such as IMS and LTE.
Oracle Communications Presence 5.0: This release of Oracle’s presence and XML document management (XDM) server provides CSPs with powerful enablers for building converged services like instant messaging, multiparty conferencing and presence-enabled social networks.
“With increasing industry demands, service providers need to be able to offer next-generation intelligent network solutions and an array of exciting new applications to mobile customers quickly and cost-effectively. The enhancements to the Oracle Communications Service Delivery product family will enable communications service providers to deliver greater value from next-generation network assets,” said Peter Mottishaw, principal analyst, Analysys Mason.
“The latest releases of the key components for the Oracle Communications Service Delivery product family demonstrate Oracle's ongoing commitment to leveraging the best-of-breed technologies from our key SDP acquisitions – including BEA, Convergin and Hotsip – and enhancing them to deliver next-generation SDP and NGIN capabilities for communications service providers. These new and enhanced product capabilities will help our customers reduce costs and accelerate time to market for tomorrow's innovative, revenue-generating communication services," said Liam Maxwell, vice president of products, Oracle Communications.
