Quinn Direct: Perfect Playlist for Your First Road Trip
By Quinn Direct, PRNEMonday, September 13, 2010
LONDON, September 14, 2010 - Having passed your driving test, you've thrown away your learner driver
plates, found some young drivers car insurance (
www.quinn-direct.co.uk/car-insurance/young-driver.html) and have been
out and about quite a bit in your car, however soon you'll have to take a
road trip to see friends or relatives. Long trips can be boring, so why not
make yourself a play-list for your car stereo, to listen to as you drive? (as
long as it doesn't interfere with your concentration).
In addition to alleviating boredom, it'll give you a chance to sing along
at the top of your voice without too many people complaining (your passengers
will have to just deal with it)!
Here at QUINN Direct, we've put together a great playlist to listen to when you hit the open road: 1) Highway to Hell (AC/DC) - Start as you mean to go on with this sing-along classic from the Aussie rockers. 2) Fools Gold (Stone Roses) - A funky, laid back tune, ideal for summer on the road. 3) Learn to fly (Foo Fighters) - As far as rock goes, a modern classic. Great chorus too. 4) All I need (Air) - Slinky electro pop from French duo Air. 5) America (Simon and Garfunkel) - Reflective, sombre, yet ideal for staring wistfully out of the window. 6) (If you're wondering if I want you to) I want you to (Weezer) - Upbeat acoustic summer rock that will have you singing along (keep your eye on road though). 7) Know your enemy (Green Day) - Perfect pop-punk from the masters themselves. Smash (Pendulum) - Driving Australian drum'n'bass. 9) Their Law (Prodigy) - Less well known than 'Firestarter', but just as good. 10) Mrs Robinson (Lemonheads) - Rocked up version of the Simon and Garfunkel classic. 11) Go with the Flow (Queens of the Stone Age) - A song that oozes heads-down Rock'n'Roll. 12) Cars (Gary Numan and Tubeway Army) - The title says it all! 13) Le Freak (Chic) - You might be too young to remember this 70's dancefloor filler but you can disco a boring ride away with it. 14) Theme to Grease (Frankie Valli) - One for the girls, I'm afraid! 15) Here I go again (Whitesnake) - It may be cheesy, but you'll be singing shamelessly by the end. 16) Nothings gonna stop us now (Starship) - 80's cheese with a killer chorus. 17) Love Machine (Girls Aloud) - Top hit from Cheryl and the girls. 18) Saturday Superhouse (Biffy Clyro) - Driving tune from the Scot's rockers. 19) Song 2 (Blur) - To be played loud! 20) Crazy, crazy nights - Big, dumb and lots of fun. Enjoy singing this last tune and watch out for the key change!
There you have it, a mixed bag of big tunes that will brighten up any
long car journey. Enjoy! If you have modified your car sound system and have
an expensive kit, it is worth informing your car insurance (
www.quinn-direct.co.uk/) provider and asking whether they are covered
as part of your insurance.
