LONDON - New research from the UK’s Number 1 baking mix company, Betty Crocker, has shown that 58% of Brits regard their top childhood memory as ‘baking cakes’ and ‘licking the spoon!’

So it’s probably no coincidence that sales of baking kits go through the roof this week during half term.

31% of respondents fondly remembered ‘riding their bike’ while a further 15% reminisced about ‘dressing up’. Other memories included ‘first holiday’ (14%), ‘first day at school’ (13%) and a present from the tooth fairy (5%).

In light of the nation’s favourite memory, get out the aprons and the mixing bowl this half term and spend time in the kitchen with your little monkeys conjuring up a tastebud tickling treat that the whole family will enjoy!
