Save the Date: World Congress of Light 2010, Vienna / Austria

VIENNA, Austria, December 2 - CIE, the International Commission on Illumination, will host the "World
Congress of Light 2010" in Vienna, Austria, March 14-17, 2010. "Lighting
Quality & Energy Efficiency" will be the worldwide focus points on technical
and scientific topics, policy frameworks and their implementation as well as
on recommendations to end users.

Leading scientists, policy makers, public interest groups and
international agencies concerned with energy and lighting from around the
world will come together to share their expertise in all aspects of light and
formulate a way forward on how lighting can be used to reduce worldwide
energy consumption without sacrificing lighting quality.

The World Congress of Light 2010 will cover:

    - Energy efficiency and environmental compatibility
    - Case studies of energy-efficient lighting
    - Review of energy-efficient lighting control systems
    - Surveys of experimental projects
    - Integrated approaches in Lighting Design
    - Lighting quality criteria
    - Future possible lighting schemes
