EDINBURGH - Skyscanner has completed its BRIC portfolio after launching several new domains, reflecting a move into these fast growing economies.
The new BRIC domains are: Brazil - www.skyscanner.com.br ( www.skyscanner.com.br), Russia - www.skyscanner.ru ( www.skyscanner.ru), India - www.skyscanner.in ( www.skyscanner.in) and China - cn.skyscanner.com ( cn.skyscanner.com).
The news follows the launch of several other new domains released during 2009 targeting international markets across Europe, Asia and North America including Norway (www.Skyscanner.no), South Korea ( www.Skyscanner.kr), and the US (www.Skyscanner.com) as Skyscanner expands its user base across more territories.
Barry Smith, Skyscanner co-founder and Business Director commented:
“Skyscanner has for a long time been available in 20 languages and over 60 currencies, but with the launch of these dedicated domains we now offer 24 specialised sites making Skyscanner even more accessible to travellers across the world in key emerging markets.”
Skyscanner recently expanded its team to include dedicated marketing managers for Russia, Scandinavia, Ireland and the US and Canada.
