Sony/ATV Music Publishing Signs Grammy Winning Thaddis "Kuk" Harrell; Redzone Writer/Producer

Co-writer of Avatar Theme Tune and Beyonce's "Single Ladies"
LONDON, December 16 - Sony/ATV Music Publishing is very proud to announce the signing of Grammy
award winning writer/producer, Thaddis "Kuk" Harrell, to a new long term
exclusive songwriter deal. The deal is a worldwide, exclusive publishing
arrangement for the writer, who was previously with Sony/ATV and has re-upped
with the publisher.
Kuk Harrell was recently announced as co-writer of the theme for upcoming
blockbuster movie, "Avatar". The song, entitled "I See You" is performed by
Leona Lewis. Written with Simon Franglen and James Horner, the movie is
released this week. worldwide. "I See You" was nominated yesterday for a
Goldben Globe Award.
Kuk, who counts record breaking hits with Rihanna's "Umbrella", Usher's
"Moving Mountains" and Beyonce's "Single Ladies" among his co-writes, said:
"I am so excited about continuing on with Sony/ATV! It's only been 2
years and we've accomplished so much and there is so much more to come. Let's

Renowned for his artistry with vocal productions, Harrell is now one of
the most in-demand vocal producers in the world. He most recently produced
and engineered vocals for Mary J Blige on her new album, Katy Perry for her
next album, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez and Jesse McCartney, as well as
co-writing Beyonce's "Single Ladies". Beyonce is nominated for 10 Grammy
awards, including a Song of The Year nomination with Kuk for "Single Ladies".
A member of Redzone since 2004 along with Tricky Stewart and The Dream,
the Atlanta based writing/production team are behind some of the biggest
worldwide hits of the last fews years, including multi-platinum hit albums
with Usher, Mary J Blige, Rihanna and Beyonce.
Harrell has recently started production company Sugawuga Music, to
develop new talent. Redzone also recently signed a joint venture deal with
Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment, to look for new hit singers.
Kuk Harrell will be looked after out of Sony/ATV Music Publishing's
London offices.
