New Luxury Resort at the Heart of the Strip Showcases Design, Amenities and Attitude Crafted to Appeal to the "Curious Class"
LAS VEGAS, December 17, 2010 - The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, the highly anticipated luxury resort at
the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, officially opened its doors to the public
at 8 p.m. on December 15. The evening's festivities included a first-look
party for invited guests which included an exclusive three-song set from The
Killers front-man and Las Vegas native Brandon Flowers, a dining taste-around
at the P3 Commons restaurant neighborhood and a peek at the resort's retail
boutique collection. Just before the doors opened, the traditional ceremonial
first bet was made by musician Mayer Hawthorne. In a first-ever innovation
for the legendary Las Vegas entertainment scene, the opening-night concert
was simulcast on The Cosmopolitan's marquee, meaning passersby on the Las
Vegas Strip were be able to watch the concert live on the 65-foot-tall
LED-display marquee.

imaginative resort's world-class design, architecture and construction team.
