Transhotel Uses Wirecard AG's SCP-Solution

One of the Largest European Hotel Platforms Uses Virtual Credit Cards to Simplify its Business-to-Business Payouts to Hotels

GRASBRUNN near Munich, Germany, June 1, 2010 - Grupo Transhotel, headquartered in Madrid, Spain, is making use of the
SCP (Supplier and Commission Payments) solution provided by the Wirecard
Group. With SCP, payouts to hotels are not only more effective but also lower
cost. The SCP solution is based on Wirecard Bank's automated issuing of
virtual credit cards which simplifies global settlement of payments in the
B2B segment, e.g. hotels.

Using the SCP solution, a virtual credit card is generated real-time for
every individual payout. In the course of the technical integration process,
enterprises have a choice: virtual cards can be either created manually and
loaded with the amount of the payout using a graphical user interface (GUI)
or created automatically by means of an XML system interface. Interfaces for
data matching purposes guarantee reconciliation with financial and accounting
systems. The service provider processes credit card data in the usual way,
and no process adjustment is necessary.

The actual time of payment is determined by defining full and partial
payment terms, e.g. payments falling due at the time the reservation is made.
Both parties stand to benefit: the service provider, such as the hotel or
airline, receives a guaranteed payment and the organizer has the advantage of
greater liquidity.

The Supplier and Commission Payments solution is fully integrated into
the Wirecard payment platform. The system manages partial payouts to
suppliers and distribution partners automatically. Straightforward
reconciliation of bookings and payments is guaranteed by using one-time-use
virtual credit cards.
