Virgin Trains Will Run Extra Trains for Football Fans Travelling to the FA Cup Semi-Final

LONDON - Virgin Trains will be providing nearly 3,000 extra seats for Manchester
United and Everton fans travelling to and from London for the FA Cup
Semi-Final. The company will be running six extra trains on Sunday 19 April.
Customers are strongly advised to reserve their seats in advance as demand
will be high.
The trains will offer 963 extra seats for travel to London in the
morning. For fans returning north after the match, there will be 1,926 extra
seats. All the additional trains will operate as Standard class only to make
as many seats available as possible; there are plenty of First Class seats on
the scheduled services.
These trains are over and above the scheduled trains, which will also
offer thousands of seats. On the routes from the north there will be the
following numbers of trains that will reach London Euston in good time for
onward travel to Wembley Stadium for the 16:00 kick-off: Liverpool seven
(five scheduled and two extra); Manchester nine; Preston three; and Chester
one.
After the match there will be four extra trains on routes to the north
from London Euston. There will be five to Liverpool (four scheduled plus one
extra); nine to Manchester (seven plus two); two to Preston; one to Carlisle;
and one to Crewe.
Most seats will be reservable and Virgin Trains urges fans to book as
soon as possible.
Extra morning trains from Liverpool to London
There will be two extra trains in the morning from Liverpool Lime Street
to London Euston, departing at 09:00 (arriving 12:03) and at 09:40 (arriving
12:43). They will convey 439 and 524 Standard class seats respectively.
These trains will allow fans plenty of time to make their way from London
Euston to Wembley Stadium for the 16:00 kick-off.
Extra trains returning north after the match
There will be four extra trains in the evening to get fans back home
after the match. The trains are shown below.
19:30 London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street (524 Standard seats),
calling at Crewe (21:16) and Runcorn (21:38) and arriving in
Liverpool at 22:03.
21:08 London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly (439 Standard seats),
calling at Crewe (23:42), Wilmslow (23:59) and Stockport (00:11),
and arriving in Manchester at 00:24.
21:11 London Euston to Crewe (524 Standard seats), calling at Stafford
(23:24) and arriving at Crewe at 23:46.
21:27 London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly (439 Standard seats),
calling at Crewe (23:55), Wilmslow (00:13) and Stockport (00:24),
and arriving at Manchester at 00:37.
