VTI was benchmarked against, and selected from, over 50 leading companies
based on criteria for best practices in the data acquisition hardware and
software market. Six categories were used to benchmark performance, including
product features/functionality, quality/complexity, customization, mix,
target market, and unique name/brand recognition.

"We are honored to have been selected from among the industry's leading
data acquisition instrumentation companies to receive this honor," said Paul
Dhillon
, VTI's President and CEO. "This is a great result of our partnering
approach with our customers, and above industry commitment to R&D.

"The Product Differentiation Excellence Award is an influential
recognition of VTI Instruments Corporation's accomplishments in the data
acquisition hardware and software market," said Sivakumar Narayanaswamy,
Industry Analyst with Frost & Sullivan's Measurement and Instrumentation
Practice. "VTI has been singled out for their ability to deliver excellence
and best practices across the industry; this best-in-class recognition
signifies outstanding performance across all major functional areas of the
business."

Flagship LXI products, such as the EX1000A Series Integrated Data
Acquisition Signal Conditioning Platform, the EX1200 Precision Signal Switch,
Measure and I/O Platform and the EX2500 LXI/VXI Controller were identified as
leading selection contributors. VTI's focus on introducing fully LXI Class A
compliant instrumentation was identified as a key enabling factor; this
approach saves customers time and money while providing unlimited,
synchronized, precision distributed measurements.

VTI's open standard/platform development strategy, of providing solutions
that are forward looking as well as backward integrating, was identified as
another key selection criterion. These characteristics are essential to the
user segments that VTI serves and ensure maximum long-term return on test
system investments. Additionally, design features such as integrated signal
conditioning and built-in self-calibration deliver exceptional measurement
accuracies, while the modular, scalable design methodology ensures maximum
flexibility.
