If you thought the Jackass cast were fearless, think again. The team behind ‘Nitro Circus’ bring terrifying stunts to a jaw-dropping new level. So impressive are their talents that Jonny Knoxville himself insisted on being their exec producer!

The five tight-knit, highly skilled adrenalin junkies are led by motorcycling champion, Travis Pastrana, on a non-stop white knuckle ride of risk-taking and thrill-seeking.

Whether it’s jumping out of an aeroplane without a parachute or being the first person ever to double back flip a motorcycle, Pastrana’s thirst for danger knows no limits. And he’s in good company.

Erik ‘Rubberneck’ Roner is a world-class extreme skier and BASE jumper, while the only female in the group, Jolene Van Vugt is a professional motocross racer with nerves of steel. Bringing some comic humour into the mix is Streetbike Tommy. His desperate attempts to impress the rest of the team combined with his total lack of skill provides moments of sheer comedy genius.

Travis’s parents also get in on the action. His father, a former Marine, is often on hand to offer gruelling training tips. And on Mother’s Day, Travis will give an extra special gift of back flipping a motorcycle into a foam pit - with his Mum on the front handlebars!

TRAVIS PASTRANA

Travis has ruled the action sport world since his first X Games gold medal in 1998, to the world’s only double-backflip on a motorcycle in 2006. He does it all from flipping his dirt bike into the Grand Canyon, crushing cars in his monster truck, to winning the North American Rally Car championship. Travis has a severe ADHD condition which propels him to constantly seek the next big thrill. When he’s not putting himself in harms way, he’s trying to convince the rest of the Crew to do his bidding.

JOLENE VAN VUGT

Jolene is one of the few girls that can handle her own in this testosterone driven crew. She is a world-class motocross racer and is fearless. She is the only girl in the world to successfully backflip a motorcycle over a gap. She adds an interesting element as she tries to compete with the boys while the boys will do anything to avoid getting beat by a cute girl.

ANDY BELL

Andy is a washed up FMX rider known more for his party tricks and beer drinking than his prowess on a bike. His nickname is “Hasselhoff” because, despite his lack of talent, he is popular in Europe. Andy is a master at spurring on Travis and the Crew. However, he’s not afraid to lay it on the line when the tables are turned.

JIM DECHAMP

Jim has been one of Travis’s closest friends since childhood. He is a professional mountain bike downhill racer and freestyle rider. Jim and Travis have a very collaborative relationship where they dream up all sorts of stunts. They started their stunt career as kids on big wheels and pedal bikes and have graduated to motorcycles, race cars, off-road trucks and anything else that goes fast and jumps far.

ERIK “RUBERNECK” RONER

Erik is a world-class extreme skier who has combined his passion for B.A.S.E. jumping to produce some incredible stunts. Travis likes to have him around because he always wears a helmet camera and knows how to pack a chute (Travis doesn’t). First descents and good Mexican food make him happy.

STREETBIKE TOMMY PASSAMONTE

Tommy is fat, lazy and has no discernible skills (he would argue this point). However, he dreams of a day when he becomes famous and can stop working in construction. He will do anything to get there. In fact, he often gets ahead of himself by acting like a rock star (e.g. he charged $10,000 on his dad’s credit card in one night at a club). Although he has not achieved his goal, his efforts never fail to entertain. Travis and the rest of the Crew keep him around for comic relief.
