YouSayToo Sets a Donation Goal of US$30 Thousand to Hope for Haiti
By Yousaytoo, PRNEWednesday, January 27, 2010
NEW YORK, January 28 - The 7.0-magnitude earthquake in Haiti that has killed an estimated
200,000-300,000 people in Port-au-Prince and the surrounding areas, also left
approximately 1.5 million people homeless. Relief organizations will need
long-term sources of funding to give survivors access to clean water, food,
medical attention, and temporary shelter. A massive effort will also be
required to rebuild Port-au-Prince and its surrounding towns over the next
few years. YouSayToo, an online revenue-sharing community for bloggers all
over the world, which uses Google AdSense to help its bloggers earn revenue,
recently announced a donation goal of US$30,000 for Hope for Haiti.
Hope for Haiti is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization whose
mission is to improve the quality of life for the Haitian people-particularly
children-through education, nutrition, and healthcare. One hundred percent of
all donations received by Hope for Haiti in response to the recent earthquake
will go directly to the organization's disaster-relief efforts on the ground.
YouSayToo will give this donation to Hope for Haiti on behalf of its
bloggers. For every new blog added that supports the "Save Lives in Haiti"
cause, the company will donate US$1 as well as 100% of the Google AdSense
Revenue earned from these blogs.
YouSayToo hopes to unite bloggers all over the world to help the people
of Haiti by simply adding a blog to its web site. Bloggers can start a new
blog or add existing blogs and then write a post about the relief efforts in
Haiti at this link: www.yousaytoo.com/account/haiti_signup.
YouSayToo has created a user-friendly online platform where bloggers can
"change the world … one blog at a time"; the company brings bloggers from
seven continents together to write about and support the cause of their
choice. YouSayToo's "Cause Page"
(www.yousaytoo.com/users/support_by_donating) features focus groups for
bloggers where they can help fight "malaria, cancer, HIV/AIDS, and global
hunger," "provide clean water," "protect the rain forests and oceans," and
"fight environmental pollution" through dialogue, discussions, and donations.
YouSayToo encourages bloggers to add their existing blogs now or begin a
new one to help the company reach its US$30,000 donation goal for Hope for
Haiti.
