Beijing, China, 16-19 June 2010

GENEVA, March 8, 2010 - In 100 days the World Heart Federation, with the support of the Chinese
Society of Cardiology and the Chinese Medical Association, will open the
World Congress of Cardiology (WCC) Scientific Sessions 2010 in Beijing,
China
.

Participants from more than 100 countries are expected to attend the
first international cardiology congress to take place in China, and it
promises to be a truly global event. It will bring together leaders in the
cardiovascular disease (CVD) field, and the speakers will include some of the
most eminent members of the profession.

The WCC Scientific Sessions 2010 plays a vital role in helping delegates
from developed and developing countries to share science, build capacity and
grow partnerships. It also presents a key forum to tackle the growing
epidemic of CVD in developing nations where the largest burden is seen. The
congress strives to unite the voices of societies, foundations and partners
to take steps to reverse these trends. It will also incorporate the 3rd
International Conference on Women, Heart Disease and Stroke.

Authors from all regions of the world will present more than 2,000
abstracts, and nearly 400 speakers will highlight the latest scientific
developments from the cardiology field. The additional focus on intervention,
prevention, diagnosis and treatment strategies guarantees a broad programme
base.

Join thousands of cardiologists and other healthcare professionals from
all over the world to participate in a truly international scientific program
in a culturally stimulating environment.

Press registration is free. Journalists can register online through the
congress website or on-site in Beijing. Please note: visas are needed for
travel to China so advance planning is advised.

Well, that will surely be a very good event for the medical doctors and students to attend. I hope that there are new discoveries and a lot more treatments and prevention and care discoveries that they have made for the people with problems with relevant illness.
