2010 Wireless Communication & 4G Summit Held in Chengdu Hi-tech Zone

CHENGDU, China, December 10, 2010 - On December 10, 2010, "2010 China International New Generation of
Wireless Communication and China 4G Summit" is being held at the Chengdu
High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Chengdu Hi-tech Zone).Chen Ruming,
Deputy Director of Communications Science & Technology Commission of the
Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, is attending the
summit. More than 120 people including relevant department heads from Sichuan
Province, Chengdu City and Chengdu Hi-tech Zone, representatives of
enterprises from China Telecom, France telecom, Nokia, Cisco, etc. and guests
are attending the summit.
This summit is under the theme of "Connecting the World", and is aimed at
discussing the latest hotspots of the current international communications
industry and envisaging the future development trend of the communications
industry. This summit is sponsored by Chengdu Hi-tech Zone and is undertaken
by Chengdu Tianfu Software Park Co., Ltd. It signifies that Chengdu has
become an important base for China's national communications industry as well
as an important link in the global communications industry chain, and that
the city will be well positioned in the development of the new generation of
the communications industry.
The summit has won active responses from the world's leading
communications enterprises including the global Top 5 communication
companies. More than 70 enterprises from all over the world are gathered in
Chengdu to jointly interpret industry development and forecast industry
trends.
Chengdu Hi-tech Zone
Since 2007, Chengdu Hi-tech Zone, as the core agglomeration for
communications industry in Chengdu, has focused on cultivating and building
the communications industry as one of its six industrial clusters. A
relatively complete communications industry chain has taken shape in Chengdu
Hi-tech Zone, and has been developed to be a major base for key
communications technologies, equipment R&D and the R&D and production of
optical communications products. Five communications companies, i.e.,
Ericsson, Nokia, Siemens, Alcatel Lucent and HUAWEI, have set up their R&D
centers here, with domestically leading R&D capabilities in terms of 3G\4G,
NGN, optical communications products, and switches and routers software.
Chengdu is the fourth largest communications technologies and equipment R&D
center, and the communications hub of Southwest China designated by the State
Council.
