DALLAS -

- Comprehensive MVS solutions for provider of library material handling equipment to include installation, preventative maintenance and break/fix services

BancTec, a global provider of advanced, high-volume, document and payment processing solutions and services, continues to expand the reach of its Multi-Vendor Services offering with an agreement to be the exclusive, North American service provider for Tech Logic, the leader in automated check-in and check-out solutions for libraries.

Under the agreement, BancTec will provide installation, preventative maintenance, and break/fix services in the U.S. and Canada on Tech Logic’s entire product portfolio, including hands-free book returns, conveyor belt delivery systems, automated book sorters, interlibrary distributions systems, and barcode and RFID check-in and check-out systems. Tech Logic currently serves hundreds of customers across North America. Service delivery will begin in August.

“Tech Logic’s innovative systems have revolutionized the way materials move in libraries, and are in strong demand across North America,” said Gary Kirk, executive director, Tech Logic. “To support our growth and enhance our ability to provide customers with the highest level of expertise and responsiveness, we sought a partner with strong technical skills and extensive national footprint to be our exclusive service partner. BancTec’s ability to quickly understand our business, train its technicians on our systems, and provide the broad coverage we need, will further differentiate us in the market and support our aggressive growth plans.”

“Tech Logic’s advanced automated material handling systems, self-checkout stations and RFID products are changing the way libraries manage their operations,” said Terry Holash, vice president, Americas Multi-Vendor Services, BancTec. “BancTec’s service team is particularly well-suited to handle the complexity of these systems and ensure that they are installed and maintained properly. We look forward to providing service for Tech Logic throughout North America, and enabling their engineers to focus on designing the next generation of advanced library solutions.”
