LONDON, September 27, 2011 -
- Official Garment Care Supplier of London Fashion Week, LG’s team of experts has produced a Garment Care Guide for stylish fashionistas
Official Garment Care Supplier of London Fashion Week, LG Electronics (LG) has partnered with experienced fashion stylist, Sara Hassan to produce a Garment Care Guide.
As leading innovators of premium home appliances, LG’s expertise in garment care is unrivalled in the industry. Working with Sara, LG has identified the key trends and produced a guide and video featuring top tips on how best to care for your favourite Autumn/Winter 2011 wardrobe pieces, to ensure they stay their best throughout the season.
Commenting on this season’s main trends, Sara Hassan, LG’s Garment Care expert said: “Silk, satin, velvet and lace as well as sequins and faux fur are popular fabrics this season - adding a hint of glamour to AW11 outfits. These fabrics often need special care and extra attention, resulting in huge dry-cleaning bills. This doesn’t need to be the case as there are plenty of new technologies, especially in steam and washing machines, that can help handle delicate items.”
LG Home Appliance Marketing Communications Manager, Dawn Stockell adds: “LG produce premium home appliances which allow customers to really care for their fabrics. We’re very excited to be part of London Fashion Week and to work with Sara to produce this Garment Care Guide. Everyday women are spending money on clothes but few think to invest in items that will help to keep them looking as good as new.”
*Sara Hassan’s Tips for Winter Woollens:
This winter chunky knit items will be making a comeback. To stay on trend wear them with a rocky edge, think ankle boots, skinny jeans and lace for the ultimate rock chick look.
Wool can be tricky to look after and it’s even harder to keep woollens looking new. My top tips to make sure your chunky knits don’t leave you out in the cold are:
- Always dry on a flat surface, avoiding pulling the fabric
- Make sure that buttons and zips are fastened to avoid the dreaded snagging
- When ironing woollens, always lift and lower the iron - don’t slide it back and forth
- Make sure you use a wash cycle that’s made for washing wool - for full piece of mind look for the Woolmark approval, featured on all LG Steam 6 Motion washers! This is because the steam technology is guaranteed to wash your wool with care, leaving them in great condition.
LG is an expert in garment care with its innovative technologies in home appliances. Earlier this year LG unveiled its 6 Motion Direct Drive washing machine which provides six different washing movements, providing care for even the most delicate fabrics to help clothes last longer.
