Karl-Heinz Strauss Combines Entrepreneurship and Expertise in the Industry and Therefore Guarantees a Further Successful Development of PORR

After a thorough selection procedure covering several stages,
the new CEO of PORR AG has now been appointed. On Thursday 15 July 2010 the
Supervisory Board unanimously voted for Karl-Heinz Strauss. For the listed
construction company this is an important step to shape the future. Strauss
impressed with successful entrepreneurial activities, strategic skills,
long-term international orientation and a dynamic personality. Strauss has
been appointed CEO effective from 13 September 2010.

Friedrich Kadrnoska, Chairman of the Supervisory Board,
comments on the decision made: "With Karl-Heinz Strauss we have found a
candidate who combines industrial and entrepreneurial expertise. He faces the
challenging tasks of further developing and expanding the PORR business."

It is not only as a manager that he will be closely linked with PORR

Karl-Heinz Strauss will become CEO and shareholder at the same
time: by purchasing or transferring the operations of Strauss & Partner
Immobilien GmbH, his stake in PORR will increase from currently 2% to around
5% and in the long-term to a maximum of 10%. This means a successful and
experienced entrepreneur will be heading the leadership team of PORR - a
principle which has already proven successful with large companies in the
construction industry.

Karl-Heinz Strauss says on his appointment as Chairman: "I am
pleased with the confidence shown in me by the Supervisory Board. As CEO and
shareholder it is something special to be able to shape the future of one of
the leading Austrian companies."

Owners see orientation confirmed

The majority owner of PORR is the syndicate consisting of the
B & C Group and the Ortner Group. Klaus Ortner, managing partner of the
Ortner Group, explains: "Karl-Heinz Strauss has a history of success as an
entrepreneur and as a manager in the corporate environment and is an absolute
expert in the construction industry. We could not imagine a better candidate
for this position." Michael Junghans, Managing Director of B & C
Industrieholding, states: "The long-term promotion of PORR as a strong
Austrian construction company is absolutely central for us. The cooperation
with the Ortner Group pursues exactly this goal."

About Karl-Heinz Strauss

Karl-Heinz Strauss comes from property development, where
until his appointment to the management board of PORR he worked independently
with the company Strauss & Partner. One of his most prestigious projects is
the Euro Plaza at the Wienerberg, the biggest contiguous office complex in
Vienna. Until 2000 Strauss worked in different capacities for Raiffeisen
Zentralbank, including in the areas of construction and property. As well as
basic training at civil engineering college, he also studied at Harvard
University, the Management School in St. Gallen, the Advanced Management
Program at the INSEAD Business School and the MBA course at IMADEC
University. The 49-year old is married and has two children.
