ConvaTec to Conduct Educational Symposium at the 15th Meeting of the International Society for Burn Injuries

ISTANBUL, June 17, 2010 - ConvaTec, a world-leading developer and marketer of innovative medical

company will host a symposium focused on the role of a novel dressing
technology in burn care during the 15th Meeting of the International Society
for Burn Injuries in Istanbul, Turkey.

The symposium titled "The Role of Dressing Technology in Burn Care:
Impact on Clinical Outcomes and Cost of Care" will take place from
12:00-13:00, Tuesday, 22 June 2010 and will be chaired by Stan Monstrey, MD,
PhD, University Hospital Gent, Belgium with feature presentations from Steven
Jeffery, BSc, MB, FRCS, EBOPRAS, FRCS (plast), RAMC, The Birmingham Burn
Centre, United Kingdom; and Fenike R.H. Tempelman, MD, Red Cross Hospital,
Beverwijk, The Netherlands.

The data that will be presented will enable clinicians to evaluate
comparative dressing attributes and the impact that dressing function has on
clinical and economic outcomes. Through the presentation of clinical evidence
and case studies, the role of dressings in controlling infection, minimizing
wound trauma, reducing pain, increasing staff efficiency and generally
promoting the optimal burn healing environment will be illustrated.
