Debevoise & Plimpton Names Four New Partners

LONDON and NEW YORK, May 7, 2010 - Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is pleased to announce that Helen V. Cantwell,
Sophie Lamb, Paul M. Rodel and Jeffrey E. Ross will become partners of the
firm, effective July 1, 2010. Ms. Cantwell, Mr. Rodel and Mr. Ross are
resident in the New York office and Ms. Lamb is resident in the London
office.

Helen V. Cantwell, based in the firm's New York office, is a member of
the Litigation Department. Her practice focuses on white collar criminal
defense, SEC investigations, complex civil litigation and internal
investigations. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Ms. Cantwell served for
eight years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District
of New York, most recently as a member of the Securities and Commodities
Fraud Task Force where she prosecuted and investigated a wide range of
complex white collar matters. Ms. Cantwell joined the U.S. Attorney's Office
Criminal Division in 2000, after four years as an Assistant District Attorney
in the New York County District Attorney's Office. Ms. Cantwell received her
J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School (1995) and her B.A., magna cum
laude, from Wellesley College (1992).

Sophie Lamb, based in the firm's London office, is a member of the
Litigation Department. Her practice focuses on complex litigation, commercial
and investment treaty arbitration and public international law. Ms. Lamb is
on the coordinating committee of the ICC International Court of Arbitration
Young Arbitrators Forum (Europe & Russia Chapter) and is a member of the ICC
Task Forces on Expertise Proceedings and the New York Convention. Prior to
joining Debevoise in 2008, Ms. Lamb practiced international arbitration and
litigation at another international law firm and was partner at an English
law firm. Additionally, Ms. Lamb was called to the Bar of England & Wales in
1998 while practicing as a barrister at one of London's leading commercial
barristers' chambers. Ms. Lamb received her LL.B. from the University of
Manchester (1996) and her LL.M. in Banking and International Finance Law from
the London School of Economics and Political Science (1997).

Paul M. Rodel, based in the firm's New York office, is a member of the
Corporate Department. His practice focuses on equity and debt capital markets
transactions for issuers and underwriters in the U.S. and Latin America,
especially Brazil. Prior to joining Debevoise in 2005, Mr. Rodel worked in
the New York and Frankfurt offices of another law firm and in the New York
and Geneva offices of McKinsey & Company. Mr. Rodel received his J.D. from
Columbia University School of Law (1996), where he was a James Kent Scholar,
Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Journal of
Transnational Law, and his B.A., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Tulane
University
(1992), including studies with distinction at the Universidad
Complutense de Madrid (1990-1991).

Jeffrey E. Ross, based in the firm's New York office, is a member of the
Corporate Department. His practice focuses on corporate transactions,
including complex leveraged financings. Prior to joining Debevoise in 2005,
Mr. Ross worked as an associate in the New York office of another law firm.
Mr. Ross received his J.D., cum laude, from Cornell Law School (1999), his
M.A., first class honors, in International Relations from University of
Melbourne
, Australia (1997) and his B.A. in History from Columbia University
(1995).
