DHL Operations Specialist Returns to Helm Asia Pacific and Beyond

Chris Bresnahan appointed head of Network Operations, DHL Express Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa
SINGAPORE, March 1, 2011 - DHL, the world's leading express company, has promoted Chris Bresnahan
into the critical role of operations head for its fast-expanding Asia
Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (AP/EEMEA) region. He will be
based in Singapore.

Roger Crook, CEO, DHL Express, Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East
and Africa, said: "Chris' strong and in-depth knowledge of and experience in
network operations will bring great value to our business in the region as
well as corporately as he has also been appointed to the board. As head of
Network Operations, Chris oversees our aviation network spanning 131
countries, six regional hubs in Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Muharraq (1),
Lagos (2) and Dubai and 154 gateways, ensuring shipments are delivered on
time to the best of our capabilities in what is DHL's fastest growing
region."
Mr Bresnahan joins DHL's AP/EEMEA management team from Leipzig in Germany
where he was Managing Director of Hubs & Gateways of DHL Express Europe. His
career at DHL spans almost 20 years and several continents, having started
his career in1992 in Air Operations at DHL Express Australia. He has wide
experience in Asia Pacific having also been Vice President, Hubs & Network
Control Asia Pacific, based in Singapore, and General Manager for DHL
Express' Hong Kong Hub - the central hub for Asia that serves as both a
regional and global hub and is an important logistics gateway to China -
before moving to Europe in 2007.
Taking up his new role on 1 February, Mr Bresnahan said: "It's an
exciting time to return to the region as DHL continues to invest in
developing state-of-the-art facilities in the region such as the ongoing
development of our North Asia Hub in Pudong due to open next year, and new
gateways in Oman and Casablanca underway.
With significant infrastructural assets in the region, DHL's continued
investment in operations provides the backbone DHL Express needs to ensure
our service excellence, taking advantage of the continued growth of
intra-regional trade to extend our market-leading position across the rapidly
emerging markets Asia Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa."
Mr Bresnahan reports to Roger Crook, CEO of DHL Express for Asia Pacific,
Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
