PARIS -
- Dungeon Party, the Quick-Fire, Dungeon Crawling, Free-to-Play Developed by Cyanide, Brings a New Class to the Game: the Bard.
Cyanide, the Paris-based video game development studio, today announced the addition of a brand-new class for Dungeon Party, its madcap and fast moving, dungeon crawling free-to-play. The BARD joins the hilarious trio composed of the Wizard, the Thief and the Executioner and, just like his companions, he will break heroic fantasy codes by playing neither harp nor lute, but rock ‘n’ roll.
The Bard brings new gameplay mechanics to Dungeon Party as well as new possibilities for 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 games, with both an attacking and defensive support role. Using his instruments and vocal ‘talents’ he boosts team-mates while preventing enemies from casting spells, using actions or moving normally. When he sings, flashy 3D effects are displayed, matching his rock ‘n’ roll behaviour.
POLYPHONY SOLO is one example of the spells available to the Bard class : Polyphony was popular in Europe during the late Middle Ages and Renaissance and the Bard is determined to resurrect it as a musical genre. Unfortunately, he sings alone! The result is a musical massacre, but it does have the effect of upsetting his enemies whose chance of making a fumble increases for a few seconds.
The BARD is available at the Dungeon Party item shop. More information is available on the official Dungeon Party website at www.dungeon-party.com.
