"Together for Sustainable Economic Projects"
MARSEILLE, France, November 22, 2010 - Dedicated to sustainable economic development, the fourth
Mediterranean Economic Week will be hosted in Marseille, France - Palais du
Pharo, from 29 November to 4 December 2010.
This unique international event is the expression of the
determination of the different partners to present the abundant initiatives
and projects in the Euro-Mediterranean area, to develop synergies and to
promote an approach converging on a "sustainable Mediterranean economy".
The process concerns all actors, both from the public and
private sectors: international organisations, States, cooperation and
development agencies, local and regional authorities, businesses, chambers of
commerce, innovation actors, developers, public development agencies, R&D
institutes and civil society.
How do they contribute to ensure a better integration of
environmental and development considerations, in order to promote innovation,
guarantee existing economic prospects and create new ones? What means do they
have to lay locally the foundations of a sustainable economy? What are the
strategies adopted by public and private actors to develop their territories
through major urban projects? How to promote convergence of institutional,
social and economic actors in the Mediterranean in order to build a source of
employment?
All those question will be answered at the fourth
Mediterranean Economic Week.
