Melder reports directly to Juan Carlos Riviero, Gigle Networks chief
executive officer and president. He will be responsible for driving strategic
growth initiatives as the company strengthens its leadership position in home
entertainment networking while expanding its focus to include complete system
solutions for a variety of "invisible" plug-and-play networks within the
home, across all existing wired media plus wireless connections.

"Andy brings important experience to Gigle Networks during an exciting
time for us, as we innovate breakthrough solutions for managing all elements
of residential information flow — from home entertainment networking and
content/media distribution, to home automation, smart-grid management and the
delivery of value-added services," Riviero said. "Andy will be a tremendous
asset to our world-class team as we help deploy a new category of
high-performance consumer home networks while accelerating corporate growth
and investor value creation."

Melder has more than 25 years of experience working with semiconductor
leaders in fast-growing consumer broadband communications markets. He helped
three companies achieve successful financial exits over the past 10 years,
either as a founder or member of the executive leadership team. Prior to
joining Gigle, Melder held senior sales, marketing and strategic business
development positions at Intellon, leading up to the company's 2007 IPO and
its recent acquisition by Atheros Communications. Prior to that, Melder
co-founded Microtune, Inc., where he was vice president of sales and
marketing and later, vice president of business development. He came to
Microtune from Tripath Technologies, where he was vice president of sales,
marketing and corporate business development and a member of the leadership
team that executed the company's successful public offering. Melder holds a
Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Carnegie-Mellon
University
, and a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from
Southern Methodist University.

"Gigle Networks is at the forefront of industry efforts to develop
intelligently managed networks for a variety of compelling new home services
and applications, and I'm delighted to be joining such an energized,
disciplined, innovative and visionary team," said Melder. "I have watched and
admired this company since its inception, and can say with conviction that
Gigle Networks will transform the consumer connectivity landscape in
important and far-reaching ways."

Gigle Networks' technology seamlessly extends wired and wireless Ethernet
connections to form up to 1Gbps entertainment-grade networks everywhere in
the home, using existing powerline, phoneline and/or coaxial cable wiring, as
well as wireless connections. An on-chip switching agent optimizes coverage
and bandwidth by coordinating all Gigle Networks-enabled devices in support
of Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. This self-forming mesh network can
operate over WiFi, wired Ethernet, powerline, phoneline, and coaxial cable,
and also provides advanced network features such as fault tolerance. All
network traffic is intelligently managed and completely transparent to the
user. Each node is simply plugged into the power outlet and then the network
self-configures, without the need for new wires, configuration software,
networking knowledge or user manuals. The network also creates its own secure
passwords and enables traffic encryption with pushbutton simplicity. Gigle
Networks combines the performance, robustness and reliability that service
providers require, along with the ease-of-use that consumers demand.
