LIVERPOOL, England, December 10, 2010 - Solicitors at Goodmans Law have advised consumers to be cautious in the
home at Christmas. The solicitors, who regularly assist people with personal
injury claims (www.goodmanslaw.co.uk/services/personal-injury/), warn
that the likelihood of injuries in the home increases over the Christmas
period.

Jeff Logan, Managing Director comments: "Your house is likely to be
busier, there are more electricals, what with fairy lights and Christmas
decorations and, of course, a busier kitchen. All of that adds up to an
increased chance of injuries in the home over the Festive period."

The statistics confirm this, with the Royal Society for the Prevention of
Accidents predicting that around 80,000 people will be taken to hospital
during the 12 days of Christmas as the result of an accident in the home.

Solicitors at Goodmans Law believe you can minimise the risks, however,
adding;

"If you've got very old fairy lights, it might be time to invest in some
new ones! Make sure the gifts that your children receive are all appropriate
for their age group and keep children out of the kitchen while the dinner
preparations are in full swing. Keep the floors as clear as possible to avoid
slips and trips."

Just a few precautions like this can minimise the chance of an accident
that might just ruin your celebrations!
