BERLIN, April 21, 2010 - Germany is a global leader in the fast growing Cleantech market. This
status is underlined by the Green Venture Summit that takes place for the
first time on May 10th 2010 in Berlin. In less than three months, the
organisers managed to attract 36 speakers, 13 sponsors and 23 media partners
to their Cleantech congress. The sponsors include MAMA, Geohumus, Berlin
Partner and Mountain Cleantech. Among the media partners are Glocalist,
enorm, New Energy, Energy 2.0, Clean Tech World and cleanthinking.de.
The Green Venture Summit's agenda centres on renewable energies, energy
storage, energy efficiency, emobility, smart grid, green architecture and
sustainable business. Next to speakers such as Dr. Hermann Scheer (MP), Hans
Josef Fell (MP), Dr. Wulf Bentlage (Geohumus), Rolf Schumann (Better Place)
and Richard Youngman (Cleantech Group) further green visionaries confirmed
their participation. Prof. Meinhard von Gerkan, founding partner of gmp

The Green Venture Summit aims at connecting innovative startups with
experienced Cleantech investors and enabling business development in the
Green Economy. The congress offers startups a chance to pitch their business
plans to investors within seven minutes. Ten green startups have been
selected for an investor presentation so far.
The Green Venture Summit on May 10th 2010 starts a new event series that
will be organised in various cities at least once a year. The initiators Jan
Michael Hess and Sarik Weber follow a long-term strategy and invest with the
Green Venture Summit in an open platform to foster the Green Economy. They
want to help Cleantech startups with marketing expertise and capital
commercialise clean products that empower companies as well as consumers to
change their behaviour and adopt sustainable production and consumption.
