Helping CIOs Stand Beside CEOs
By Qedis, PRNEThursday, November 11, 2010
LONDON, November 12, 2010 - A huge congratulations to all the winners from last night's BCS and
Computing UK IT Industry Awards!
Special recognition goes to Darrell Stein, CIO of Marks and Spencer, who
won the 'CIO of the Year' award, sponsored by Qedis. Richard Cross, ITV and
Adam Gerrard, Avis Europe were also both named as medallists.
"Qedis is proud to be sponsoring an award that recognises excellence
across leadership, delivery and strong role models for the industry," says
Paramjit Uppal, CEO.
Qedis sponsored a second award - 'Business Analyst of the Year'. This is
the fifth consecutive time the company has supported the event, encouraged by
the increasing levels of high calibre participants entering to share their
outstanding achievements.
Qedis Presenter Gerald Dunn explains - "CIOs are operating in new ways,
becoming an integral part of wider IT transformation and a strategic asset to
their businesses. This is consistent with the work that Qedis carries out to
ensure CIOs are recognised as key drivers of change beside other C-level
executives."
Many of the industry's leading CIOs were in attendance at the awards
yesterday evening at Battersea Events Arena.
