LONDON, August 5, 2011 -
The number of FTTH subscribers in Europe has increased by 22% thanks to a booming broadband market in Eastern Europe. As such, Telecoms and Cable Operators are increasingly exploring options for delivering high speed broadband that can cost-effectively meet the growing demand for bandwidth hungry applications.
Richard Jones, Partner at telecoms consultancy Ventura Team, believes that the best deployment examples are in Eastern Europe, who are by far leading the way. In an exclusive podcast with Telecoms IQ Richard said, “if you want to look at the ultra-fast deployments, Eastern Europe’s doing it, even to the extent that in parts of Hungary you find three fibre operators with fibre to the home, essentially competing in the same area.”
At Delivering High Speed Broadbandin October(www.deliveringhighspeedbroadband.com)Richard will give a presentation detailing real world fibre business cases and the lessons learned from building some of the fastest and most efficient fibre operations Eastern Europe and the rest of the world.
