PLAINSBORO, New Jersey and ROCKLAND, Maine -
SAI Global Compliance and the Institute for Global Ethics (IGE) have entered into a joint marketing and sales alliance to provide organizations and their employees with frameworks they can rely upon when making difficult ethical decisions.
Both organizations are committed to enhancing organizational culture by helping employees better understand their roles and how their behavior affects the culture of the workplace as well as the performance of the organization. By co-marketing IGE’s suite of ethics-related services - anchored by its proven Ethical Fitness(R) Seminar (EFS) - with SAI Global’s library of online ethics training and awareness, clients can utilize a blended solution to build employee understanding of ethical decision making and improve the quality of their decisions.
IGE’s President and Founder, Rushworth Kidder, Ph.D., said, “As we emerge from this latest ethics recession, the public is acutely aware of the awful costs of failures of integrity. So there’s never been a better time to provide integrity-building tools, which we’re doing by bringing IGE’s frameworks together with SAI Global’s excellent reach and reputation.”
SAI Global’s Global Head of Compliance, Andy Wyszkowski, added, “We’re honored to work with Dr. Kidder and the IGE. The insights they bring to discussions of corporate and global ethics, and the real life stories they use as examples of every day situations, have been instrumental in helping employees understand how to make decisions that positively impact an organization’s culture and sustainability.”
IGE’s groundbreaking Ethical Fitness(R) Seminars, facilitated through IGE’s Center for Corporate Ethics, help all employees discover the tools they can use to help make their most important decisions. The topics covered in these in-house and open model seminars include ethical awareness, values definition, ‘right vs wrong’ and ‘right vs right’ ethical analysis, dilemma resolution, building trust, ethical leadership, etc. IGE supports the EFS with a range of diagnostic, evaluative, and communication services.
The interactive format of SAI Global’s Ethical Decision Making course, developed in conjunction with IGE, draws on content from the popular book “How Good People Make Tough Choices” by Dr. Kidder and the IGE’s Ethical Fitness(R) decision-making model. The course presents a series of video-based examples to explain how to analyze tough business choices. Upon completion of the course employees of all levels will be able to recognize what characterizes ethical dilemmas and moral temptations, and be able to apply the resolution principles necessary to make the best choices. Ethical Decision Making is translated and available in multiple languages, ready for global deployment.
