Innovation for Tomorrow - 14th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition to Open

SHANGHAI, December 13, 2010 - The 14th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto
Shanghai 2011) will be held in Shanghai New International Expo Center from 21
to 28 April, 2011 with a brand new vision. The participation of automobile
industry giants at home and abroad in the coming Auto Shanghai 2011 will once
again prove that China, as the world's biggest automobile market, has its own
unique charm.

Auto Shanghai 2011 is organized by China Association of Automobile
Manufacturers, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade
Shanghai Sub-Council and China Council for the Promotion of International
Trade Automotive Sub-Council with Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd.
and Messe Muenchen International / IMAG Internationaler Messe- und
Ausstellungsdienst GmbH as co-organizers. The special supporter is China
Machinery Industry Federation, and the supporter is the Society of Automotive
Engineers of China (SAE China).

The theme of Auto Shanghai 2011 is: "Innovation for Tomorrow" which
reflects that global financial crisis is promoting a new technology
revolution, and a new era with innovation explosion and rapid growth of
industry emerging is coming. Green growth has become an inevitable trend.
Facing the crisis, many countries called for "Green Politics and Economy" to
make their development strategies. Green economy, low carbon technologies are
booming and the competition for the commanding place in the future is
becoming increasingly fierce. Product strategy is the core strategy of the
Chinese automobile industry. Through science and technology innovation, such
goals can be achieved. Low-carbon, green economy and sustainable development
will be the themes of Auto Shanghai 2011 as well as eternal themes of the
high-aiming Chinese automobile industry.

The event is held in the background of global focusing and
rapid development of the automobile industry in China. According to the
schedule, 19 and 20 April will be media days only available to news media, 21
and 22 April will be trade visitors' days. And from 23 to 28 April, it is
open to the public. Auto Shanghai 2011 will use all 13 indoor halls and
outdoor space including temporary halls of Shanghai New International Expo
Center. The scale will be over 200,000 square meters, which will be the
largest in its history. Among these, 11 indoor halls are for the car makers
(W1-W3, E1-E7 and N5) - 2 more halls compared to last time. Components
manufacturers will occupy 2 indoor halls (W4, W5) and outdoor temporary
halls. Commercial Vehicles area, section for auto tire / auto audio devices
and function area such as media area, VIP lounge, press rooms and the press
center will be located outside.

International Giants Show High Attention, New Brands Emit Brilliant
Lights

From booth scale to exhibiting investment, global car makers will achieve
a higher standard than the past. German car makers like Volkswagen, BMW, Audi
and Porsche will attend with brand new profiles. Bugatti and SEAT under VW
will make their first appearance. BMW will set its own record with a 4000
square meters' booth and brand new booth design as well as exhibits. Japanese
car makers such as Toyota, Honda and Nissan will exhibit with their
sub-brands. US automotive giants GM, Ford and Chrysler will gather together
again. In addition, N5 will be set up as a luxury cars hall, gathering
Ferrari, Maserati, Aston-Martin, Bently and Rolls-Royce. It's worth
mentioning that new brands such as DS (manufactured by Changan and PSA) and
the joint brand of DFM and Yulon will participate in Auto Shanghai for the
first time with high taste and new profiles, becoming members of the Auto
Shanghai Family.

Independent Brands Appear in High-Key

Auto Shanghai 2011 is no doubt the best stage for local car makers to
show their strength and brand. Top six local automobile groups FAW, SAIC,
DFM, CHANGAN, GAC and BAW will gather again and each will enlarge their
booths to a new scale to bring their independently developed product or
mass-produced cars. Both FAW and DFM Group will double their space compared
to last time and apply outdoor booths for commercial vehicles. SAIC and SGM
will go on the tradition of a "joint hall", publishing a series of new cars.
Besides them, other local car makers will also be seen at the event, making
domestic independent brands bloom like a hundred flowers After the
acquisition of Volvo's passenger cars' business, Geely will continuously
enlarge their scale of exhibition. Combining the obvious advantages of its
battery business and electric cars, BYD now is in a positive preparation of
Auto Shanghai 2011. Furthermore, domestic independent brands like Chery,
Brilliance, Great Wall, JAC, Haima, Southeast, Lifan, Hafei, Zoety and
Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile will bring their own new cars.

Commercial Vehicles and Components Participate Actively

In the commercial vehicle area, FAW Jiefang, DFM, SAIC, Benz, CNHTC, MAN,
Foton and JAC will continue exhibiting. CNHTC and MAN will exhibit jointly
for the first time, showing trucks with the latest engine technology provided
by MAN and the advanced heavy trucks with TGA technology. The largest
commercial vehicle manufacturer Daimler Group will exhibit in Auto Shanghai
with its Benz trucks as always. After 6 years, the second largest group in
commercial vehicle industry, Volvo, will bring their commercial vehicles and
Sunwin Bus into the exhibition again in 2011, showing the latest electric bus
and advanced technology. Top ranking international automotive components
manufacturers will participate enthusiastically. Global auto components
giants like BorgWarner, Eaton, Bosch, Continental, ThyssenKrupp, ZF, Johnson
Controls and Faurecia group will take part in the exhibition for the first
time, ready to launch a promotion at Auto Shanghai 2011.

Premiere of Design Area

It is the first time that Auto Shanghai will have a car design area which
is based on exhibits like concept car and prototype car, gathering first
class design companies and studios around world. Including worldwide famous
design companies like Pininfarina always used by Ferrari, I.D.E.A. and ICONA
from Italy, V-ENS form Korea, a famous design company in Asia, Sivax from
Japan as well as famous local car design companies and institutions like TJ
Innova. The concept cars and prototype cars are definitely state of the art
and will show visitors how the future automobile design will be developed.
The founding of car design area is a highlight of Auto Shanghai 2011 which
will lead it to a road towards an international superior automotive event.

Series of Side Events Establish Cooperative Platform

1. Media Days: 19-20 April. Major exhibitors will hold press conferences
at booths or meeting rooms. The agenda will be announced on the official
website on time.

2. Summit Forum: The forum will be held in 18 April at the Shanghai Grand
Ballroom in Kerry Hotel Pudong Shanghai. Nation governors, local governors
and CEOs from Chinese and multinational automobile manufacturers will be
invited to deliver speeches, and have discussion on the automobile
manufacturer mode and the development of the Chinese automobile industry in
the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan".

3. Car Design Night: The 2011 Shanghai car design night will be held at
i-bar of Intercontinental Shanghai Pudong Hotel on 19 April. World-famous
designers in the auto industry will be gathered together once again.

4. Technology Seminars: In order to further promote and shift Auto
Shanghai 2011, many technology seminars will be held during the exhibition,
such as buyers' conference, match-making between car makers and components
manufacturers as well as meeting of the supply chain. What is particularly
worth mentioning is the "On-Vehicle Electronics Forum between Taiwan Province
and China". The forum will start a brainstorm regarding the possibility of
the future development in on-vehicle electronic systems and provide a good
opportunity for both sides of the Straits to study technology and exchange
information.

Human-Oriented Service Concept

In more than 20 years' show history of Auto Shanghai, the organizers
always aim to offer human-oriented service a more comfortable environment for
the exhibitors, visitors and media. They believe that the satisfaction and

The auto show will extend one day for public visiting, providing visitors
