Insurance Premiums Benefit Global GDP
By World Finance, PRNEMonday, August 23, 2010
LONDON, August 24, 2010 - Long-term structural changes to commerce in the global economy may well
have altered some characteristics of the insurance industry. But the sector
has a constant in monetising risk and providing risk sharing mechanisms,
enabling individuals and businesses to safely build and hold assets. And as
with many other mature industries, growth opportunities for the insurance
sector are trending towards developing economies.
World Finance's 2010 Insurance Award winners should be congratulated for
their achievement in what has been a difficult period.
