Major General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi to Chair Fire Safety Technology Forum UAE

Developed in partnership with Dubai Civil Defence and IQPC
Middle East, the first annual Fire Safety Technology Forum UAE and
exhibition on the 7th July 2011 will host over one
hundred and fifty regional and global industry experts.

Major General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director General, UAE
Civil Defence said, “The forum, hosted by the Ministry of Interior
and General Directorate of Civil Defence, offers a further step
towards investing in knowledge and the latest applied technologies
to protect lives, properties and the environment. I am delighted to
announce that we will be hosting a pre-event press conference on
Sunday 19th June 2011 at 12:00 at The Yas Hotel, Abu
Dhabi
to discuss the details of this prestigious event.”

In an exclusive forum, held under the patronage of His Royal
Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, United
Arab Emirates
Minister of Interior and Deputy Prime Minister,
experts will officially discuss state-of-the-art fire safety
technologies and solutions.  The forum and exhibition will
provide an essential platform for international and regional fire
safety experts. The conference will be opened by Major General
Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi and he will be joined by international
VIP panelists for an open forum panel discussion.  VIP
panelists include: Sir Ken Knight, His Majesty’s Chief
Inspector of Fire Services and Chief Fire and Rescue Adviser in
England and Wales; Préfet Jean Paul Kihl, Director of French
Civil Security; Commissioner Peter Benedict Lim Sin Pang Director
General
, Singapore Civil Defence Force; and Chief Lo Chun Hung
Gregory, Director of Fire Services, Hong Kong Fire Services
Department.

Director Generals and Commanders of GCC Civil Defence
departments will also be in attendance.

exhibition area where attendees can network and learn more about
the latest technologies available.
