Michiel Jaski Steps Down From the Executive Board of Arcadis

ARNHEM, The Netherlands, May 12, 2010 - ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international design, consulting,
engineering and management services company, announced today that Michiel
Jaski in good cooperation has decided to step down as a member of the
Executive Board of ARCADIS so that after 10 intensive years at ARCADIS he can
spend more time with his family. He will take a sabbatical before he will
start looking for a new position. This will be announced during the General
Meeting of Shareholders of ARCADIS which will be held this afternoon. After
his departure, the Executive Board of ARCADIS will consist of Harrie Noy
(CEO), Renier Vree (CFO), Steve Blake and Friedrich Schneider. The procedure
to fill the vacancy has already been started.

Michiel Jaski (51) joined ARCADIS on April 1, 2000 as a member of the
Executive Board. Before that, he worked in several management positions,
first at Philips and subsequently at Shell, where he gained international
experience particularly in the United Kingdom and the United States. He
graduated from Wageningen University and has an MBA from Insead in
Fontainebleau. About his departure he says: "For the past 10 years I have
really enjoyed working at ARCADIS. It is a great company with compelling
activities, great people and many market opportunities. It was, however, also
a very demanding period. That is why I want to take a sabbatical and give
more attention to other important things, before I select a new challenge".

CEO Harrie Noy said: "We obviously respect his decision, but we are
nevertheless very sorry to see Michiel go. He has played an important role in
the development and implementation of the new direction that has led to the
successful expansion of ARCADIS. Besides, Michiel was a very pleasant
colleague who is well respected within our company and the industry. Also on
behalf of my colleagues I would like to thank him for his contribution and
wish him all the best."
