LONDON, August 9, 2011 -

An innovative new mobile app is giving people who studied at Hult International Business School the chance to stay in touch with their fellow alumni members. Hult, which has an impressive network of more than 6,600 alumni worldwide, is among the first global business schools actively fostering a sense of community and belonging through the use of an app.

Available free on Apple devices, Hult Connect lets former students see which other alumni live and work in the same city - all with the intention of keeping relationships alive. The business school can also send updates directly to alumni, keeping them up to speed with news about alumni events and reunions. The app is especially useful for Hult alumni, as 90% of them left their home country to study at one of the School’s five global campuses. It isn’t unusual for Hult students to come from one country, study in another, and then end up taking a job in a third location. So at any one time, a Hult student could have literally hundreds of alumni members they could catch up with in their city.

To help its diverse and truly international student body stay connected, even after graduation, Hult partnered with Ever True - a Boston-based start-up. This partnership is a key part of Hult’s innovative and future-proof strategy, which aims to further the student experience through the use of cutting-edge technology from the world’s best companies.

A pioneering feature of the Hult Connect app is its social media integration, keeping alumni in the loop through Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter updates. And because everything is integrated in a simple, easy-to-use interface, it acts as a one-stop-shop for all things Hult. That means students can easily keep in touch with their old friends, as well as the Hult faculty members that helped to shape their careers.
