No More Toll Queues for Hertz Drivers in Italy

- In a Car Rental First, Hertz Offers Electronic Toll Passes to Customers

In an industry first, Hertz is offering customers travelling in Italy access to Telerent, an electronic toll pass which allows drivers to bypass toll queues on the motorway.

Initially available at Hertz offices at Italy’s main airport locations, the service will allow Hertz drivers to pay at Italian tolls without using cash or credit cards at the gates. This will help speed up motorway journey times and reduce the inconvenience of toll payments and receipts. Previously, this service was not available to most visitors to Italy as the electronic toll pass operator, Telepass, required the driver have an Italian bank account. Thanks to an agreement between Telepass and Hertz, visitors to Italy can now enjoy a smoother motorway journey.

Telepass costs as little as 1EUR (+VAT) a day with a maximum charge of 15 days a month.
