Oman Power & Water Summit to Feature Strong Lineup of Speakers

MUSCAT, Oman, April 27, 2011 - Next month's Oman Power & Water Summit will feature a highly impressive
lineup of speakers with the confirmed participation of top government
officials, the senior management of private companies, industry experts and
other prominent personalities in the Sultanate's vibrant power and water
sector.
The roster of high-profile speakers will be led by the Chairman of the
Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW), H.E. Mohammed Abdullah
Al-Mahrouqi, who will preside over the official inauguration and deliver the
keynote address during the event.
To be held on May 22-25 at the Grand Hyatt Muscat, the Oman Power & Water
Summit will also feature the participation of John Cunneen and Qais
Al-Zakwani, Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director, respectively,
of the Authority for Electricity Regulation, Oman (AER); Bob Whitelaw, Chief
Executive Officer, Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (OPWP); Ahmed Bin
Saif Al-Mazrouy, General Manager, Majan Electricity Company (MJEC); Zahir Al
Bahri, General Manager, Wadi Al Jizzi Power Company (WAJPCO); and Abdullah
Said Al Badri, General Manager, Mazoon Electricity Company (MZEC).
"The Oman Power & Water Summit will bring together policymakers, decision
makers, senior executives and influential professionals in the Sultanate's
power and water sector, thus setting the stage for a highly informative and
enlightening discussion of the industry's current state and future growth
prospects," said CJ Paul, Chief Executive Officer of Global Exhibitions &
Conferences LLC (GEC), which is co-organising the executive-level event in
partnership with IQPC Middle East.
Other speakers from the Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW)
include Eng. Zaher Khaled Sulaiman Al-Sulaimani, Director General of Projects
and Christophe Doublet, General Manager of Planning and Asset Management.
Additional speakers from the Authority for Electricity Regulation, Oman
(AER) are Hilal Al Ghaithi, Senior Regulatory Engineer; Salma Al-Ismaily,
