LONDON and PARIS, July 7, 2010 - Global peace movement and nonprofit organisation Peace One Day, founded
by British filmmaker Jeremy Gilley, announced the Peace One Day 2010
Celebration today. The spectacular flagship event will be hosted by Peace One
Day ambassador Jude Law and Sharon Stone and will include performances by
POD's music ambassador Charlie Winston, Patti Smith (acoustic), - M-, special

September at Le Zenith venue in Paris to mark Peace Day. The show will be
filmed in HD for international broadcast on 21 September, Peace Day itself.
Tickets are now on sale.

Charlie Winston said "This is the second year I've performed at a Peace
One Day celebration. It's such a great idea which is beginning to move
mountains. I hope everyone who comes to the show has a night to remember and
that more and more people are inspired to raise awareness of Peace One Day."

The Peace One Day 2010 Celebration at Le Zenith is the biggest event yet
for Peace One Day founder Jeremy Gilley, whose efforts resulted in the
unanimous adoption by UN member states in 2001 of the first ever day of
global ceasefire and non-violence, now fixed in the global calendar on 21
September annually.

Jeremy Gilley said, "Peace One Day's objective is to institutionalise
Peace Day 21 September, making it a day that is self-sustaining. Our annual
Peace Day Celebrations help us achieve that goal. I'm delighted to be back in
Paris this year with such incredible international artists, taking the
message of the day to the people of the world."

Since the unanimous adoption of the Peace Day resolution in 2001,
activities on 21 September have enabled families to be reunited, mosquito
nets and food aid to be delivered and children vaccinated all over the world,
as this ceasefire and non-violence day is creating a window of opportunity
for humanitarian efforts.

"I've seen first-hand how this organisation can help save lives," says
actor, Peace One Day ambassador and co-host of the Zenith show Jude Law, who
travelled to Afghanistan with Gilley. "Peace One Day has created a platform
from which everyone can become involved in the peace process and I'm
delighted to be part of it."

Gilley and Law are also producing Gilley's third documentary - Peace One
Day Part 3 - scheduled for transmission to 200 countries on BBC World over
the weekend of 18/19 September this year. This third film charts the
extraordinary progress of Peace Day since 2007 and sets the course for
Jeremy's fourth feature documentary, culminating on Peace Day 2012 against
the backdrop of the London Olympic Games.

Others who have supported Peace One Day include Annie Lennox, His
Holiness the Dalai Lama, Kofi Annan, Ban Ki-moon, Angelina Jolie, Lenny
Kravitz
, Bryan Adams, Peter Gabriel, Yusuf (formerly Cat Stevens), Jonny Lee
Miller
, Joseph Fiennes, Kasabian, Kate Nash, Corinne Bailey Rae, Dave
Stewart
, Jimmy Cliff, Faithless, James Morrison and millions of people across
the world. The Peace One Day 2010 Zenith show is a Peace One Day Production

About Peace One Day

Jeremy Gilley is an actor turned filmmaker, who in the late 1990s became
preoccupied with questions about the fundamental nature of humanity and the
issue of peace. He decided to explore these through the medium of film, and
specifically, to create a documentary following his campaign to establish an
annual day of ceasefire and non-violence. In 1999, Jeremy founded Peace One
Day, a non-profit organisation, and in 2001 Peace One Day's efforts were
rewarded when the member states of the United Nations unanimously adopted the
first ever day of global ceasefire and non-violence on 21 September annually
- Peace Day.

In 2007, over 100 million people (source UN) were active on Peace Day, in
192 countries. There were life-saving initiatives in 14 countries and over 80
activities in Afghanistan alone, where Peace One Day was instrumental in
securing the conditions in which safe polio vaccinations could take place;
over three consecutive years (2007/8/9) a total of over 4 million children
have been vaccinated against polio as a result of Peace Day agreements by all
parties in the region.

Peace One Day is working to institutionalise Peace Day, making it a day
that is self-sustaining, an annual day of global unity, a day of
intercultural cooperation on a scale that humanity has never known. The next
stepping stone on this journey is to reach 3 billion people with the message
of Peace Day by September 2012; this will be achieved by working principally
through Education, Sport, Music, Film and Digital Properties.
