In future, TGC - The Games Company will also distribute its games digitally and online via RapidShare, under the terms of an agreement signed by the two companies at the start of the gamescom in Cologne, Germany. TGC will make most of its portfolio available to RapidShare, including games such as ‘Everlight,’ and ‘Simon The Sorcerer 5,’ which have received numerous awards from specialist journals. TGC aims to leverage the potential of about 40 million RapidShare users per day for its distribution activities and intends to offer another download site and an alternative to purchasing the box. RapidShare plans to extend its RapidGames range and expand its RapidShare Premium program.
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with RapidShare,” commented Christian Sauerteig, Director Marketing & Sales at TGC on the agreement. “For one thing, RapidShare offers an immense distribution potential, for another thing the company’s RapidGames is a well established and frequently used gaming platform based on a solid infrastructure and able to handle peak loads.”
“The agreement with TGC shows how a publisher and a host can work together to generate added value for users,” added Bobby Chang, COO of RapidShare. “This is really an ideal situation, benefiting all participants. We look forward to working with TGC. That company has an extensive portfolio and also many exciting projects in the pipeline.”
