SANTA MONICA, California -

The Save the Titanic Foundation (www.savethetitanic.org) today announced details of the 2012 Global telecast concert event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Titanic. The 100th anniversary event will be staged simultaneously at Madison Square Garden — The World’s Most Famous Arena in the heart of New York City, the celebrated Wembley Stadium in London, and the Odyssey Arena — The largest indoor concert arena in Ireland.

The 24-hour live telecast events will also extend beyond the boarders of America to the international communities that share the spirit of hope in making dreams come true; bringing together more than 2 billion people worldwide from the stage concerts of Sydney, Tokyo, Shanghai, Janeiro, Johannesburg, Hamburg and Rio.

A landmark audience of viewers from around the world will be united to experience the excitement of the Titanic’s 100th anniversary on 12/12/12. The last time in modern history that recorded the magical date 12/12/12 was on 12/12/1912, the year of the Titanic tragedy.

Kevin D. Finn, founding member and Co-Chairman of the Save the Titanic Foundation states, “The Titanic was an international, multicultural event when it was launched in 1912 and has touched all cultures worldwide ever since. Over 11 million individuals from around the world have already expressed their interests for the preservation of the Titanic. The commemoration of the Titanic respects and celebrates all cultures, in that of a sense of ‘Liberty for All.’” Preska Thomas, founding member and Co-Chairman continues, “The foundation’s underlying message in these trying times is that we persist; we all raise the Titanic within each and every one of us when we arise from our beds to fulfill our American dreams. The Save the Titanic Foundation’s 100th Year Anniversary Gala and Concert is always about the American dreams that perished with the ship that we’re all living today. The passengers aboard the Titanic were in pursuit of the American dream.” Kevin concludes, “We continue to be humbled at how the Titanic unites people on a global level — bridging the gap between race, nationality and creed.”

The 100th anniversary global telecast will feature over 100 headlining music acts across seven continents and will also feature key scientists, maritime community leaders, NOAH, National Geographic, corporate executives and corporate sponsors working closely with the foundation and its promoters.
