Sparxent Announces Formation of Verismic Software and Unveils New Suite of Systems Management Applications

LONDON - Verismic’s offering furthers Sparxent’s vision of becoming broad solutions provider for medium-sized companies
Sparxent, an IT and business solutions provider for the middle market, announced the formation of Verismic Software at the Service Desk and IT Support 2009 show. Verismic Software is a wholly-owned Sparxent company, focused on developing solutions to extend systems management and service desk capabilities. As part of its market introduction, Verismic Software unveiled an array of systems management solutions designed to reduce operational costs, enhance user experience and increase efficiency of IT support staff. The formation of Verismic Software is the first step in Sparxent’s plan to provide customers with comprehensive software solutions paired with leading consultative expertise.
“The addition of Verismic Software to the Sparxent family will begin to address the gap that currently exists between value-added resellers and software vendors. Newly-formed Verismic Software is announcing a new application and four upgraded solutions for its mid-market customers. The enhanced applications are based upon technologies previously available through NetworkD, acquired by Sparxent in August 2008. NetworkD has a proven record of pioneering solutions that enable customers to align IT service delivery with distinct business needs. Details on Verismic Software’s new and improved suite of applications include:
1) Power Manager - Monitors the activity of a system through Microsoft Active Directory and applies power reduction policies to greatly reduce electricity consumption, costs and carbon emissions. The new application features low end user impact and also provides comprehensive reporting tools to measure and assess benefits. 2) Integration Launcher (previously NetworkD iLaunchPad) - Offers deeper support for Microsoft Systems Center and a web-enabled interface, providing tighter integration between the service desk and desktop systems management tools. Integration Launcher creates a single powerful solution to remotely diagnose and repair systems problems. 3) Password Reset Manager (previously NetworkD iControl for Windows) - Provides an improved user interface and includes the latest Microsoft Windows Vista technologies to allow end-users to reset their passwords through a self-service tool without calling the help desk. 4) Archive Analytics Manager (previously NetworkD iRecall) - Provides a web-enabled console and advanced functionality to support LANDesk Patch Management, extending the functionality of LANDesk Management Suite through advanced historical tracking, trend analysis and ROI reporting for greater value. 5) ADGroups Pro - Enhances LANDesk Inventory with extensive information contained in Microsoft Active Directory, providing more accurate reporting and task scheduling without client-side modifications.
