Studentbeans.com Survey: Who are the Most Sexually Active Students in the UK?

New research from the studentbeans.com (www.studentbeans.com/)
Student Sex Survey 2011 reveals that the students in Wales claim to be the
most sexually active in the UK. Students from Glamorgan have had on average
10.9 sexual partners, whilst those from Cardiff have had 10.6.

Wales featured prominently in the survey of students from over sixty
universities in the UK, with students from Aberystwyth having on average 9.1
partners. Brighton and Leeds make up the top 5.

Here are the 10 universities claiming the highest average number of
sexual partners:

* We asked 2,284 sexually active students from 61 UK universities

And those universities with the fewest number of partners:

Commenting on the results, a second year student at the University of
Glamorgan says, "I am surprised, however whilst living in student
accommodation a lot of people tended to have sex. Several friends have used
uni as a chance for sexual exploration - living with friends in close
proximity, everything is very new, new found independence, and being drunk
can all lead to more sex."

that place. However, the over-representation of the West of Britain is
extremely interesting - it can only be a good thing for admissions numbers at
Welsh universities!"

Notes to editors

All statistics are taken from the Student Sex Survey 2011. Total sample
size was 2,818 university students in the UK. Fieldwork was undertaken
between 20th April and 3rd May 2011 and carried out online.
