Tube City IMS Receives 58 Safety Awards From National Slag Association

PITTSBURGH, September 29, 2010 - Tube City IMS Corporation, a provider of products and services to steel
mills and foundries globally, today announced that several of the Company's
sites received a total of 58 Safety Awards from the National Slag Association
(NSA) for 2009.

In addition, three Tube City IMS employees each received NSA Best
Practices Awards and one employee was the winner of the NSA safety slogan
contest.

The NSA Safety awards recognize superior performance as measured against
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable injury rates.
The awards were presented to the Company during the NSA's fall meeting held
in Florida September 22-24, 2010.

Since joining the NSA in 2005, Tube City IMS has earned more than 175
Safety Awards.

The Company's operation in Claymont, DE, received three awards: "2009
Most Improved Job Sites for Safety;" and two awards for "Lowest Incident
Rate" for employees.

The operation in Gary, IN, also received three safety awards: one for
"Job Sites with at Least 200,000 Hours since the Last Recordable Accident;"
and two for "Lowest Incident Rate" for employees.

Operations in Middletown, OH; Belle Vernon, PA; Beaumont, TX; Puebla,
Mexico; and Port of Spain, Trinidad, each received two safety awards: one for
"Job Sites with at Least 200,000 Hours since the Last Recordable Accident;"
and another for "Lowest Incident Rate" for employees.

Company sites in Canada receiving safety awards for "Lowest Incident
Rate" for employees were: Selkirk, Manitoba; L'Original, Ontario; Hamilton,
Ontario; Nanticoke, Ontario; and Regina, Saskatchewan.

Claymont, DE, operation; Bob Rouire, Superintendent at the Axis, AL, site;
and Kevin Shire, Superintendent at the Tuscaloosa, AL, operation, each won an
NSA Best Practices Award in Innovation.

Finally, Matthew Lindemulder, Operations Supervisor at the Company's
Portage, IN, operation was one of two winners for the NSA's 2011 safety
slogan. His slogan, "Safety Rules Are Your Best Tools!" will be printed on
2,600 stickers that will be distributed to NSA member companies.
