Cremer Oleo Presents 'Cremerpharm 995' - A Vegetable-Based Glycerine

HAMBURG, October 5, 2010 - Based on renewable raw materials, the North German, Hamburg-based Cremer
group has developed the product 'Cremerpharm 995'. The material is a high
quality substance, manufactured in accordance with the standards set by
Cremer Oleo to carry out its entire global production whilst adhering to
strict European environmental standards and quality controls. Thus, within a
network of strategic partners, such as Bio-Ölwerk in Magdeburg, Cremerpharm
995 is manufactured in several steps of production. As a natural part of oils
and fats, glycerine is used in diverse applications including, for example,
as the base for the manufacturing of medicinal products such as gel capsules
or cough syrup. Cremerpharm 995 corresponds to all requirements for 'Good
Manufacturing Practice' (GMP), according to the 'EU-GMP Guideline Part II'
for APIs (active pharmaceutical ingredients).

Cremer Oleo-Product Manager, Maik Gläsel, points out: "An audit by an
independent inspection company showed that the traceability from the raw
materials to the finished product Cremerpharm 995, in terms of complete
quality control, is assured. Cross-contamination or unwanted environmental
influences, can be ruled out completely." In addition, the high quality
glycerine types are used for the production of special high-grade MCT oil
(so-called medium-chain triglycerides) for use in the pharmaceutical, food
and cosmetics industries at the Cremer Oleo plant 'Prignitzer Chemie' in
Wittenberge. "We, of course, also respond to current developments," Gläsel
adds. "So our Ecocert-certified organic glycerine is, for example, an
industry-wide accepted basis for high quality care products in the special
segment of sustainable cosmetics." With a commitment like Cremerpharm 995,
the North German group manages a production of natural, raw, vegetables
materials on a continuous basis - as is the case with a whole other series
of commodities and specialities (such as the Cremer Care range of products
for the cosmetics industry), and establishes the issue of sustainability in
this market on a broad basis.
